Too Young to Wed: Promoting Girls' Rights, Ending Child Marriage

As of 2010, one in three women aged 20-24 around the world had been married as girls. Child marriage wreaks devastating consequences, endangering girls’ health and inhibiting their education and life prospects.

Join us for dinner and a discussion with Giulia Vallese of the United Nations Population Fund to examine the impact of child marriage, highlighted in stunning photography and video by the recent UN exhibition Too Young to Wed.

Learn how to help vulnerable girls and women through the Strong Women, Strong World initiative and take action to empower those living in the most difficult countries to be a girl or woman today.

Date: Thursday, January 10, 2013, 7-8:30 PM
Location: Trinity Baptist Church
250 East 61st Street (between 2nd & 3rd Ave.)
Open to men and women. Free admission. RSVP to nycwov@gmail.com
