Walk/Run for Water

NYC WoV is joining forces with Team World Vision to raise awareness and money for World Vision water projects in Africa. Come join us on April 2nd at Flushing Meadows Park in Queens.  We will be participating in the New York 13.1 and 5K. Get ready to run/walk for the 3.12 miles that represents the typical distance African women and girls walk twice daily to fetch water. It'll be fun and a great opportunity to see what World Vision and Women of Vision is all about. Visit the NYC WoV team page to join our team. Team World Vision

    We had a great race last Saturday. Team World Vision raised over $200,000 for water projects in Africa, and 400 children were sponsored. NYC Women of Vision team raised over $1,400 for water in Mali. It was a chilly 40 degrees when the race began, but with the heat of the competition, all 9 runners on the NYC WoV team made it across the finish line. Thanks to all the supporters for making this event such a success.
