Book Launch Party is a Springboard to Creative Action

by Dadjie Saintus, Education Chair, WOV New York City chapter

Women of Vision is collaborating with author L.A. Chandlar in an exciting movement to promote creativity and generosity: Fight to Keep Creativity AliveFrom now through July 31st, 50% of your purchase of the Fight to Keep Creativity Alive eBook or merchandise will support World Vision’s Strong Women, Strong World fund!

It was a warm spring evening and the air was festive at the book release party for Fight to Keep Creativity Alive. Nearly one hundred guests filled an elegantly decked penthouse in anticipation of the launch, and members of Women of Vision NYC numbered among the diverse crowd. As the night unfolded, it wove together varied artistic elements, including lively music from a jazz band, artwork on display from local artists, and even a crafts table providing an outlet for participants to kindle their imagination and dabble in finger-painting. Women of Vision NYC had the opportunity to address the audience by presenting the mission of World Vision and highlighting Strong Women, Strong World. As the night drew to a close, guests were treated to stylish swag bags teeming with fun items including Women of Vision merchandise. The high energy and positive response from attendees encapsulated the success of the evening and invigorated our cooperative efforts.

In Fight to Keep Creativity Alive, L.A. Chandlar speaks to the best in all of us as she calls on us to harness our inborn creativity and supplies a roadmap for turning our ideas into action. As Women of Vision, we aspire to a future where women and girls everywhere can achieve their inherent and full potential. The Strong Women, Strong World initiative drives us ever closer to this end by strengthening World Vision projects that elevate the health, education, and economic opportunities of women and girls living in the most difficult places to be a girl or woman today. Will you come alongside us in the Fight to Keep Creativity Alive movement and support Strong Women, Strong World? Seize your own creative vision and help us empower women and girls around the world!
