Mark Your Calendars! WOV NYC Fall Kick-Off, October 8th

Monday evening, October 8, at 6:30 pm, at Redeemer Ministry Center our Fall Kick-Off is here!

Date: Monday, October 8, 2012
Time: 6:30PM
Location: Redeemer Ministry Center
105 W 83rd Street NYC, NY
RSVP: nycwov@gmail.com

Join us at our Fall Kick-Off meeting to discover how God opened the eyes and hearts of 3 women to use their skills and hearts to work and support girls and women in Africa.

Come to learn and leave inspired! Hear from a top-level executive and her desire to help end female genital mutilation and early/forced marriage in Kenya. See what motivated an ambitious young professional to switch careers to address the needs of working women in Rwanda. Be inspired by the work of newlyweds in their desire to bring pastoral care to war-ravaged Rwanda.

  • Margo Day, a Microsoft executive, who decided to take a year off from her high-level role to travel with World Vision to Kenya. Read more about Margo Day on her blog.

  • Sarah Page, a co-deacon of Rwanda Missions at Trinity Baptist Church and newlywed, partnered with her husband to bring pastoral care to Rwandan pastors.
    • Connie Lewin, decided to leave behind her luxury skincare marketing career to join a start-up company based in Rwanda that manufactures banana-fiber menstrual pads.

After hearing their stories, you will discover the many ways that you can GET INVOLVED in strengthening the lives of girls and women across the world. Whether you can give one hour a month, one hour a week, or one hour a day, there's a job for you in the ministry of Women of Vision.

It will be an evening you won't want to miss!
